Member of Staff in US Vice President’s office tests positive for coronavirus

While the first case in Lagos, an Italian national who had tested positive is now negative and discharged by the state’s government, a member of staff in the office of US Vice President Mike Pence, has tested positive for the illness, a spokeswoman said Friday.

“Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence had close contact with the individual. 

Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines,” Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller said.

The President, Donald Trump nor his Vice is yet to react to the latest development.
